Quick answer Daybed and swing bed frames are rarely a standard mattress size, so ordinary mattresses bow, gap or slide. We make the cushion to your frame, 3″ to 6″ thick, with optional back cushions so it works as a sofa by day.

A twin mattress on a daybed frame either bows at the edges or leaves a gap, and outdoor daybeds need foam that dries after rain. Daybed cushions, swing bed and cabana cushions made to your exact size fit the frame properly. Each daybed mattress is foam cut in the USA, wrapped in a zippered cover in indoor or outdoor fabric.   • Twin daybed: 75″ × 39″, 5″ thick
  • Swing bed: 74″ × 38″, 4″ thick
  • Full daybed: 75″ × 54″, 5″ thick
  • Cabana daybed: 80″ × 60″, 5″ thick

Any size from 10″ to 84″ in each direction, 3″ to 6″ thick, can be made. Rectangular, clipped-corner and L-shaped cushions are all available.

How to measure

Measure the inside of the frame where the cushion will sit, side to side and front to back. Round down by about ¼″ if the frame has sides on all four edges, so the cushion drops in without bowing. See our measuring guide.

Back cushions

Add one or more back cushions in the same fabric so the daybed works as a sofa during the day. Ties are available to hold a swing bed cushion in place when the swing moves.

How thick should a daybed mattress be?

Most daybed cushions are 4″ to 6″ thick. Choose 4″ for a swing bed that needs to stay light, and 5″ to 6″ for lounging.

Can I order just a new cover for my daybed cushion?

Yes. If your foam is still in good shape, order a zippered cover only in the fabric you choose, or see cushion covers.
